So, Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and the teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.            (Ephesians 4:11-13)

WE ENVISION communicating effectively and continuously so that from 2013 through 2017 most active members assert that they know, pray for and participate in our FPC 2012 Vision and Goals as together we seek Christ and share His love.

Foundational Concept of Share the Vision:  Equipping every member of the congregation to be a minister for Jesus Christ is an essential task of the church.  Great ministry is done by the congregation, not the staff. 

Moreover, engaging the entire congregation in praying for and participating in these goals is the only way they will succeed.  This goal is therefore the goal that underlies the other eight.  

Critical Questions for Goal I

How will we engage the congregation in these goals in new and creative ways?

How will we equip members to have a significant role in achieving each goal, working together with staff and session members?

How will we assess completion of this goal?
